Lady GaGa stuns Cardiff commuters

To promote Cardiff Bus’ service to Cardiff Bay, we hired a Gaga impersonator to jump aboard to coincide with Lady Gaga’s concert in Cardiff. She certainly turned a few heads amongst commuters! Here’s a link to news article about it.

Radisson Blu Cardiff’s pizza faces

Food artist Nathan Wyburn has worked with us on several of our PR stunts and this one was to raise awareness of the Radisson Blu’s Italian restaurant. To celebrate the Bluebirds’ promotion to the Premier League, Nathan created pizza portraits of Cardiff City’s captain, manager and owner. Here’s a link to the news article about it.

BEYanapprentice for ACT Training

To raise awareness amongst young people of apprenticeship schemes with ACT Training, we arranged for ‘Beyoncé to make appearances around Cardiff city centre on the day of her concert…well a Beyonce impersonator actually! Using the hashtag #BEYanApprentice, many young people had to double take to check if it really was  Queen B? Here’s a link to a video of her appearance.

The Red Dragon cocktail to launch Dirty Martini 

To help launch Dirty Martini’s first bar in Wales, we created the Red Dragon cocktail, a homage to all things Welsh. The cocktail comprised of Brecon Botanical Gin with flavours of blood orange, green tea and hibiscus, and teapot bitters and was topped with a unique Snap Dragon flower. Giant cricket sculpture for Cricket World Cup

With Banksy hailing from Bristol, it’s no secret that Bristol has a thriving art scene and when you scour its streets, you’ll struggle not to find a cutting-edge piece of graffiti art decorating the city’s walls. This led to the idea of creating a giant sculpture of a cricketer for the Cricket World Cup’s city visit and hosting a participatory art event, where the local community could come down and paint on it the ten flags of the countries competing in the tournament. Albert Einstein Smartie Art for Techniquest anniversary

Another of Nathan Wyburn’s magical creations – an incredible portrait of scientist Albert Einstein made entirely out of Smarties to help Techniquest celebrate its 30th anniversary. What a Smartie pants he is! Here’s a link to a news article about it.

The Dragon Wakes

To drive footfall into Mermaid Quay during October half term, we worked with the team to promote the arrival of the UK’s largest animatronic Dragon. Needless to say the campaign was a ‘roarsome’ success! Here’s a link to a news article about it.

Shop Local This Christmas music video 

This Christmas, we wrote, recorded and released a Christmas song and video – ‘Shop Local This Christmas’. The video, which can be viewed here, featured local traders who urged local residents to support their high street traders during the Christmas period. Shared countless times across social media, it was full of heart and hope – just what everyone needed to see at Christmas!

Nathan Wyburn creates Father Chickmas

We helped renowned US brand Slim Chickens get into the festive spirit when it launched in Cardiff. What could food artist Nathan Wyburn possibly create for the brand to celebrate Christmas…a special portrait of ‘Father Chickmas’ of course, made out of Slim Chicken’s signature buttermilk marinated, hand-breaded chicken tenders, chips and house sauces. Teasing Electri-CITY for Cardiff

Is it a bird, is it a plane….whizzing past silently at night, we had people wondering what it could possibly be…turns out it was Cardiff’s first electric bus! We helped Cardiff Bus launch its first fleet of electric vehicles with this teaser video, which can be viewed here.
