Background

Every week, over 400 people in Wales are diagnosed with cancer. Cancer Research Wales is dedicated to funding world-class research to create a better future for cancer patients in Wales and relies on the generosity of the people for fundraising.

Brief

We were commissioned to develop a campaign identity and supporting materials for Cancer Research Wales’ latest fundraising campaign which asked people to ‘Bake a difference’ for the 130,000 people living with cancer in Wales.

What we did

We developed a campaign logo which was inspired by the shapes and materials used in baking. A textured typography was chosen for the identity which makes the writing appear like its written in flour. The campaign name was enclosed within a dough shaped outline which is speckled with flour.

A vibrant colour palette and fun photography was then chosen to complement the campaign messages:

  • We knead you
  • Help us raise loads of dough
  • Help us make a bake-through for cancer
  • Can you rise to the occasion?

The identity was applied to a range of assets including fundraising packs, how to guides, recipe cards and social graphics.
